Obelisks in Immortal Unchained act as checkpoints allowing the player to save progress, restore health and ammo, level up, equip and upgrade weapons, decode and equip cyphers, and travel between locations.

Obelisks Information

  • Interacting with an Obelisk does the following:
    • Saves game progress.
    • Respawns enemies.
    • Restores Syringes, Grenades, and Ammo.
    • Allows you to Level Up character Attributes.
    • Allows you to equip and upgrade Weapons.
    • Allow you decode Cyphers and equip Aspects.
    • After linking the 3rd Nexus, players may travel to The Core, any of the 3 Nexus, and any unlocked Obelisks.
  • After linking the 3rd Nexus, players can unlock Obelisks as travel locations for 5,000 Bits by interacting with an Obelisk and selecting the Travel option.

After defeating Housecarl Invader, head up the steps to be transported into the Grand Hall.

Interact with the Monolith to access the Obelisk menu.

Arden Sepulcher Scar of the Abyss Upon exiting the portal to Arden from the Grand Hall. Follow the path to the right past the Grunt
Arden Overlook Scar of the Abyss  Go through the doorway on the right between the Armor Shrine and bridge. Climb down the ladder to interact with the obelisk.
Arden Tribunal of Souls Tribunal of Souls The Nexus in the Tribunal of Souls arena where you face Holmeguard Commander. This travel point is unlocked upon linking the 3 Nexus to the Monolith. Grants access to The Charnels after linking the 3 Nexus.
Arden Warehouse  The Charnels  From the Tribunal of Souls (Nexus of Records) Travel point, head through the doorway behind it down into The Charnels. Take the steps up and defeat the Corrupted Berserker. Go through the door into the next room where you will face 2 more Corrupted Berserkers. Go through the door on the left. Go to the end of the hallway and open the next door; this obelisk will be in the room.
Arden Catacombs  The Charnels From the Warehouse Obelisk, go out the door and up the steps on the left. Open the door and go across the bridge guarded by a Corrupted Berserker. Go through the next two doors until you reach the room with a Grunt and Corrupted Berserker. As you progress through the room 2 more Corrupted Berserkers will spawn. Go through the door into the large room with a Molten Knight. Go through the door in the far-left corner of the room behind the Molten Knight. Follow the path forward (do not take any side paths) until you cross over a narrow bridge. This obelisk will be in the next room after the door.
 Arden Courtyard  Soul Furnace After making your way through The Charnels you will find yourself in the Soul Furnace. Go forward and you will encounter a Phantom. When you reach the structure guarded by a Ranger there will be a set of stairs to the left up into a fenced area. This Obelisk is on the left in the fenced-in area.
 Arden  Prison  Soul Furnace When you get to the area where you face Silent Janissary go right and into the building through 2 automated doors. this Obelisk is on teh right after the 2nd door.

Arden Cistern of the Fay The Cauldrons Upon entering the Cauldron follow the path until you have to cross the narrow bridge to the left. Cross over the bridge and turn left. Go down the stairs and past the green pod on your left. There will be a lamp on the right side of the path before the next set of stairs down. This obelisk is down a narrow bridge directly to the left of the lamp.

Veridian Hidden Cave Ashborne Caverns

 Upon entering Veridian via the portal from the Grand Hall, eliminate the 2 Troopers: 1 to the left of the cave, the other on the risen platform to the right. This will alert the Warrior nearby; wait for it to come and eliminate it. Head right through the stone archway, watch out for the Vine Traps hidden in the bushes. In the distance will be a Trooper behind shield, he should not aggro you from this distance. Once the rock formations open up, there will be 2 Troopers to your left, 1 on each level of the cliff. Use a long range weapon to take them out. Proceed forward and defeat the trooper behind the shield. You can break the shield with a grenade, melee attack, or by destroying the green canister at the base of the shield. Turn left past the shielded Trooper, there will be a narrow bridge you have to pass over; above the bridge will be another shielded Trooper. You can take out the Trooper or just ignore it for now and run across the bridge.When you get about 90% of the way across the bridge a Warrior will climb up the right side. Stay to the left and run around the warrior. At the other end of the bridge go through the path hidden behind the plants to the right of the metal cable-like structures. This Obelisk will be on your left.

OR upon entering Veridian via the portal from the Grand Hall, go straight across the platform and drop down onto the grassy patch in the water. Go forward past the platform with the chest and into the cave. Follow the cave around to the right. You'll pass through a narrow opening in the rocks covered by some plants. Continue forward. Make a left turn at the next set of plants. The Obelisk will be on your right.

Veridian Underground Waterfall Ashborne Caverns

 From the Hidden Cave Obelisk, go left and follow the path up and around the area until you reach the Armor Shrine. Go left and climb down the ladder. Go right through the tunnel. This obelisk will be directly in front of you before crossing the narrow bridge to the left.

You can't miss this since you must pass directly by it to progress through the level.

Veridian Ruined Village Ashborne Caverns

 After going through the swamp full of vine snare-traps and Contaminators you will reach the Ruined Village. Head up the hill on the right and cross the narrow bridge. To your left, across from the ruins will be two bridges, take the left bridge. When you get to the Corruptor there will be a hidden ladder on the left among the plants. Take the ladder down. At the bottom of the ladder follow the narrow bridge to the right to the 1st platform, then take the next narrow bridge to this Obelisk.

OR from the Amber Monarch arena, climb the ladder up to the path will the narrow bridge. Follow the narrow bridge to the left to the 1st platform, then take the next narrow bridge to this Obelisk.

Veridian Overgrowth Forbidden Forest  

 Upon entering the Forbidden Forest from the Ashborne Caverns, this Obelisk is located behind a locked door directly behind where you first encounter Orin.

Veridian Forgotten Ruins Forbidden Forest  From there entrance to the Forbidden Forest head up the path along the tree roots/branches where you face a Duelist. Continue along until you reach the Trooper and Swarmer. From the Trooper's position, take the left path into the area guarded by a Trooper, Swarmer, & Corruptor. Follow the right wall, this Obelisk will be just to the right around a corner.
Veridian Temple Grounds Forbidden Forest  In the area with the felled hollow tree, go through the Stone archway on the left behind the Duelist and up the stairs.
Veridian Granite Steps Forbidden Forrest From the Temple Grounds Obelisk, head down into the area with the large hollow tree. Take the left path past the Duelist up to the ruins. After passing through the ruins you will come to a junction: left leads to the Cinderwoods Gate, right, through the stone archway, leads down the path to the next set of ruins with this Obelisk.
Veridian Lost Path Forbidden Forest After coming down the large staircase defended by a Custodian, turn left and follow the path straight. The steps to the Crimson Arena will be on your right, continue forward until you reach the end of the path.
Veridian Crimson Arena Crimson Arena The Nexus in the Crimson Arena where you face Ravager Commander. This travel point is unlocked upon linking the 3 Nexus to the Monolith.
Veridian Charred Corpse Cinderwoods From the Cinderwoods Gate, go forward until you reach the Portal on the left-side of the path. This Obelisk is located up a hill on the right between the two large rocks in front of you.
Veridian Ruined Temple Cinderwoods  Once you reach the temple ruins area of the Cinderwoods, go along the left side of the ruins and up the stairs.

Veridian Bled Heart Bile Grove  Upon entering the Bilegrove you will come to a fork in the path, take the right path. Go up the ramp along the right wall.
 Apexion  Cliff's Edge  Skypath  From the 1st Armor Shrine go across the bridge. Before going through the door turn around and head down the stairs. This obelisk will be on the right.

  Apexion  Citadel Gates Skypath At the top of the huge staircase guarded by Lurkers, Frostslugs, and Shieldbearers. Grants access to the Legislative Archives after linking the 3 Nexus.
  Apexion  Sanctum of Fate Sanctum of Fate  This is the Nexus in the Sanctum of Fate arena where you face Soothsayer Commander. This travel point is unlocked upon linking the 3 Nexus to the Monolith.

The Stream Columns of Derealisation* The Stream Upon entering The Stream from the Grand Hall, go through the portal in the 1st area guarded by a Fire Grunt, Warrior, & Bellower. Go through the portal in the 2nd area with the 3 Advanced Shieldbearers. Go through the portal in the 3rd area with the Advanced Warrior and Juggernaut. This Obelisk will be on the right after exiting the 3rd portal.
The Stream Winding Path* The Stream

Upon entering The Stream from the Grand Hall, go through the portal in the 1st area guarded by a Fire Grunt, Warrior, & Bellower. Go theough the portal in the 2nd area with the 3 Advanced Shieldbearers, In the 3rd area with the Advanced Warrior, Warrior, & Juggernaut:

  1. Go through the portal to find the Columns of Derealisation Obelisk in the 4th area. Go through the portal in this area guarded by Shade Shotgunners. In the 5th area there will be a path to the left, forwards down to a Juggernaut, and to the right. All three paths lead to the same portal. Go through the portal in the 5th area. The 6th area will will be counter-clockwise spiral guarded by 4 Advanced Ranger. The portal is located at the center of the spiral. Upon entering the 7th area the obelisk will be directly in front of you.
  2. On the bridge to the 3rd portal look down to your right, the Winding Path Obelisk will be in the area below you. Drop down from the bridge onto the rubble to skip the 4th, 5th, & 6th areas.
The Stream Triambi of Actuality* The Stream

From the Winding Path Obelisk, head up the path to the portal to the 8th area. The 8th area will have 2 Warriors & 2 Bellowers. Follow the path up to the 2nd floor and then take either path, left-or-right, to the portal to the 9th area. In 9th area there will be 2 Advanced Warriors and multiple Shade Shotgunners that will spawn in as you proceed. Follow the ramps up to the 3rd floor and go through the portal to the 10th area. The 10th area will be a counter-clockwsie path guarded by 5 Advanced Warriors and a Bellower. Continue forward until you  reach the portal to the 11th area. In the 11th area, follow the path forward past 3 Shade Shotgunners. This obelisk will be on your left.

The Stream Golden Path* Tenth Realm

From the Triambi of Actuality Obelisk, head up to the portal to the 12th area, The 12th area will be guarded by 1 Warrior, 3 Bellowers, and 3 Advanced Shieldbearers. Take the ramps up to the 3rd floor and go through the portal to the 13th area. The 13th area will be guarded by 2 Juggernauts. Follow the left path down to the area with the 2 juggernauts. Go right at the glowing rock and follow the path down to the portal to the 14th area. There are no enemies in the 14th area; follow the path up to the portal to enter the Tenth Realm. This obelisk will be immediately to your right.

The Stream Last Vestige* Tenth Realm

From the Golden Path Obelisk, follow the path until you have to drop down past the Halberd Knight. Drop down twice to the area below. Defeat the Custodian and Molten Knight and continue through the narrow passage where you get ambushed by 3 Swarmers. In the next area there will be a ramp on the right and a large open area on the left where you will face Swarmers and Shade Shotgunners. Go through the large area and up the steps. In the next area you will face a Molten Knight & 2 Corrupted Berserkers. Go up the long stairway. At the top of the stairway there will be 2 Halberd Knights to your left. Follow the path up past the Knights until you reach the top where there will be a pillar in front of you and a Halberd Knight in the area to your right. Go around the right side of the pillar in front of you. This Obelisk will be on the left.

The Stream Trickster's Peak* Tenth Realm

From the Last Vestige Obelisk, head towards the Halberd Knight. Defeat the 5 Swarmers and continue forward. You will come to an area with 2 Advanced Defender and 2 Shade Shotgunners. Defeat the enemies and continue up the path. There will be a Defender hiding in a small indent in the left wall before the barricade. Past the barricade will be 2 more defenders along the right side of the path. Once you reach the top of the path there will be one final Defender on your left. Follow the path up over the broken rubble. This Obelisk will be on your right about halfway up the path.

*Obelisk cannot be unlocked as a Travel location until Naylon has been defeated at which point all Obelisk visited in The Stream will unlock as Travel locations for free.
