Bren
Location	Arden, Scar of the Abyss

Bren is an NPC in Immortal Unchained. NPCs are characters that provide information, items and quests to the player in the game. Bren is found sitting on a rock by the cliff near the Scar of Abyss Obelisk on Arden. Speaking with Bren begins the Lost Memories Questline. You must find 3 items and return them to Bren: Amon's Feather, Charred Locket, & Cael's Knife. Upon delivering Amon's Feather to Bren you will receive the Prison Depths Key which can be used to unlock the Endbringer Launcher. Upon completion of this quest you will receive the "Lost Memories" Achievement/Trophy.

If you decide to kill Bren at any point you may obtain the Warden's Pendant from her corpse.

Information about Bren

• Arden was believed to be her prison, but due to Iska's uprising, chaos across the realm have allowed her an opportunity to escape. She broke out of her prison, yet without a goal in her mind, she wandered the snow mountain while hiding herself to avoid being noticed.
• By giving her all the items, she will started to remember her past, including her sins: She was once a renowned warrior, much like Orin, yet due to the jealousy toward her lover, she have murdered and burned down her lover and his family, resulting in her exiled after her crimed brought to light. 
• After remembering her past, she later moved to Cinderwood, believing the remains of the burning woods reminds her of her sins, and proclaim the place will be her punishment for the rest of her life.

Location of Bren

• On Arden near the Sepulcher Obelisk in the Scar of the Abyss area.
• Relocates to the Grand Hall after Holmeguard Commander is defeated and the first Nexus is connected.
• Relocates to the Ruined Temple Obelisk in the Cinderwoods area of Veridian after she has been given the Amon's Feather, Charred Locket, and Cael's Knife.

Lost Memories Questline

• Speak with Bren near the Sepulcher Obelisk in the Scar of the Abyss area on Arden; right at the start of the level. Exhaust all of her dialogue before continuing through the level.
• Upon defeating Holmeguard Commander and connecting the first Nexus, Bren can be found in the Grand Hall sitting on the ground behind the portal to Arden.
• On Apexion,  open the small strongbox directly in front of the Citadel's Gate Obelislk to obtain the Amon's Feather.
  • This is the Obelisk located at the top of the giant stairway guarded by Snipers, Shielders, and Frostslugs.
• Progress the story until you have connected the 3rd Nexus to the Monolith and defended it from the ambush.
• Speak with Bren in the Grand Hall. She will ask you to give her the Feather. Answer "Yes" and she will give you the Prison Depths Key.
  • WARNING: You may do this prior to the 3rd Nexus but there is a known bug that may cause you to not receive the "Lost Memories" Achievement/Trophy upon completion of the quest.
• On Veridian, open the small strongbox next to the Ruined Temple Obelisk in the Cinderwoods to obtain the Charred Locket.
• Speak with Bren in the Grand Hall again. She will ask you to give her the Locket. Answer "Yes" and she will give you 17,000 Bits.
• On Arden, open the small strongbox next to the Courtyard Obelisk to obtain Cael's Knife.
• Speak with Bren in the Grand Hall again. She will ask you to give her the Knife. Answer "Yes" and she will give you a Superb-upgraded Legion Manhunter Compact Gun.
  • At this point you will receive the "Lost Memories" Achievement/Trophy.
• After exhausting all of her dialogue in the Grand Hall, Bren will move to the Ruined Temple Obelisk in the Cinderwoods.

Notes and Tips

• There is a known bug that may cause you to not unlock the "Lost Memories" Achievement?Trophy upon completion of the quest if you gave Bren the Amon's Feather prior to connecting the 3rd Nexus to the Monolith and defeating the ambush.
• When Bren dies, you may obtain the Warden's Pendant from her corpse.
