Malog is a Boss in Immortal Unchained. Malog is the one of the three bosses that drop a Heart of Key Item required to complete the game.  This boss is located on Apexion in the Apexion Citadel - High Court which can be accessed after linking the 3 Nexus to the Monolith.

An advanced version of the enemy the Echo of Malog can be fought in the Remmant World - The Howl after defeating Malog.

Malog & Echo of Malog Location

• Malog
  • Apexion, Apexion Citadel - High Court
  • From the Throne Room Obelisk, head up the steps through the large door. Approaching the blue pillars after the door will start a cutscene that forces you into the boss fight.

• Echo of Malog
  • Remnant World - The Howl on Veridian (accessed via portal on Apexion)
  • From the Throne Room Obelisk, head away from the obelisk towards the entrance. The portal will be on the right at the far side of the Room.
    • Requires 18 Cerium Decree and the Skeleton Protocol  to open.
  • Echo of Malog will instantly aggro to the player upon loading into the area.

Malog & Echo of Malog Attacks

• Frost Wave: While chained to the floor, Malog will emit a wave of frost damage out in a circle around him.
  • This attack deals frost damage.
• Single Swipe: Malog will approach the player and swipe at the player with one 
• Double Swipe: Malog will approach the player and swipe at the player with his right then left hands.
• All-Fours Overhead Smash: Malog will dash at the player like a four-legged animal then perform an overhead slam with both of its fists.
• Cryo Chaingun: Malog will aim one of its guantlets at the player and fire a number of frost projectiles at the player.
  • This attack deals frost damage.
• Dual Frost Chainguns: Malog will aim both of his guantlets at the player and fire a large number of frost projectiles at the player similar to the projectiles fired by Phantoms.

Malog Strategies and Tips

• If you have not broken the chains near The Boy while traversing the Apex Citadel, Malog will begin the fight chained to the floor. He will only be able to use his frost wave attack. He will break free of the chains after taking a certain amount of damage beginning phase 2 of the fight.
• Malog's core is located on its chest rather than its back like most enemies . Stay in front of Malog and use a weapon with a high Critcial Hit Bonus stat to deal massive damage.
  
  • A Sniper Rifle with the Precision Attack Power Attack is excellent against this boss.
  • A Shotgun with the Scatter Shot Power Attack is excellent against this boss.
• Malog deals mainly frost and physical damage.
  • Use a Cold Patch Consumable to reduce the damage and status effects of frost.
  • Equipping the Polar Aspect will reduce all frost damage by 10% and reduce frost's duration by 50%.
